About Us

The International Creative Center Emalis was established in 1992 in Yaroslavl by Alexander Andreevich Karikh, People's Artist of Russia, President of the International Association of Russian Enamellers Creative Kreis International, who also heads this organization.

• Emalis has held over 100 exhibitions, 20 of which were international.

• Since 1998, Emalis holds annual enamel masterclasses with the participation of professional enamellers from Russia, the CIS, and other countries. The study groups include both experienced and skillful professional artists and those who just want to try their hand at this amazing art. Anyone can share this magical adventure!

• In 2011, the center received the Russian President grant for its development.

• In 2012, we established the only Russian museum of enamel art — the Emalis Museum.

• The museum is #1 in Classes & Workshops in TripAdvisor’s ranking (since 2017).

• In 2018, our museum made it to the TOP15 best private museums in Russia (according to the Association of Tour Operators Russia (ATOR)).

• The Emalis Museum offers interactive workshops for families, friends, and companies.

• During the workshop, our guests will learn the history of the amazing enameling techniques, get acquainted with the works of the leading enamellers from Russia, Europe, USA, PRC, Japan, study the technology of glass-based painting on copper.

• In 2015, the Emalis Center opened a shop where you can buy exclusive paintings, jewelry, and gifts created by our artists. Our range includes enamel, cold enamel and majolica products.

• In 2020, the Emalis Museum received the Travellers’ Choice 2020 award by TripAdvisor. TripAdvisor awards accommodations, attractions, and restaurants among the top 10% of all listings on Tripadvisor known for consistently earning great reviews.
